This is a blog post from my blog Kimaniali.com

Would you kill a dangerous blue kid that threatens national security? That's one of the central questions Route 3 explores in the action-packed three current issues.

I don’t quite remember how I stumbled upon Route 3, but I am beyond satisfied with what I’ve seen. This comic series was created by Robert Jeffrey and Sean Hill, and published by Terminus Media LLC. The characters and setting are multifaceted. The art is superb. The pacing deserves a thumbs-up as well. I will write with the intention of not spoiling anything.

It was the cover page of the first issue that caught my eye. Something about Sean's (the main character) color scheme. Then I opened the book and I was hit with a whirlwind of AWESOME. The art on the inside is actually a cut above what the cover art suggests. The subsequent comics' quality did not disappoint, either. I feel like this could seamlessly transition into animation, and I hope that becomes an eventual undertaking for these creators.

The organizations and characters are thus far still shrouded in mystery, yet fuel my desire to know the context for this crazy world. You have the military--plus some scary looking mercenaries--trying to kill a metaphysically-gifted high school kid. One can't help but feel sympathy for the kid. He doesn't know how to control his power, which makes him dangerous at times. Yet, the reader ponders on whether he really needs to die.

The hobo guy certainly doesn't think he needs to die. If memory serves correctly, we currently don’t know much about the hobo guy. Though, he obviously was previously engrossed in something that lent him the requisite knowledge to help Sean begin to unravel the mystery in his power. He’s a fantastic shot, too.

There are a lot of questions presented by the current three issues of Route 3 that I am eager for the creators to delve into. Who is the main assassin guy? Why are they trying to kill Sean? What’s the power he was bequeathed from the Virginia Plantation? Who’s the hobo guy and masked mercenaries (I love their character design)? What’s the USA planning that necessitates Sean’s death? WHO IS THE FIRE GUY FIGHTING SEAN? Route 3 has definitely captured my attention and I will certainly be keeping tabs on the artists.

I should also mention that I typically abhor comics/manga that feature high school-level (or worse *cringe*, middle
school) main characters. Sean was apparently special because my bias was successfully suspended . Props to the creators. I can’t wait to be wowed in issue #4. Make sure to visit their website!

I really like this. I haven't read the first one but I just read a physical copy of this one (#2). I would say a way to make this a 5 star would be to flow dialog better. It seemed a bit skippy in about 2 or 3 places. I enjoyed the drawing too. Overall good read. I'll be picking up #3. Keep on doing what you do.
Excellent book. We need more like it.
The story is going slow paste and should have been at least 50 pages long and was much less than 30 pages long! Come on dude! It could be better and should be longer! 👍👎
This is developing well. Interesting characters,I feel so sorry for the poor kid. Things were looking up for him Boom
I'm comic fan from way back and this one is shaping up nicely. A young man of with powers, but where did they come from and what are his limits? Two sides stand in the shadows with their own agendas.
